MDCC HVAC students troubleshoot Medical Laboratory Technology lab equipment

An equipment issue in Mississippi Delta Community College’s Medical Laboratory Technology lab gave students in the college’s HVAC program an opportunity to apply their technical skills in a real-world setting.

The students approached the situation as a service call, asking questions, evaluating the equipment and troubleshooting the issue while working with faculty to determine the best course of action.

The collaboration between MDCC’s Health Sciences and Career-Technical Education programs provided practical experience and demonstrated how programs across the campus can work together to support student learning.
