Katelyn Head named Belhaven’s 2026 Young Alumnus of the Year

Katelyn Head, superintendent of the Mississippi Correctional Institute for Women, has been named Belhaven’s 2026 Young Alumnus of the Year. Head graduated from Belhaven in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations.

Head has built a leadership career with the Mississippi Department of Corrections. At the Mississippi Correctional Institute for Women, she leads a team and serves more than 900 incarcerated women.

Belhaven said the award recognizes a graduate from the past decade who pursues excellence in a career field and has achieved success as a younger leader.

Belhaven is advertising registration for Homecoming 2026 through its alumni website.
