Booneville School District employees were named 2026 Reader’s Choice Winners, according to the district.
The district thanked Prentiss County citizens for recognizing the hard work, dedication and care that its teachers and staff provide to students and schools. The district also described the honorees and staff as part of its “Blue Devil family”.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
