October is Agritourism Month in Mississippi, according to the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce.
The department encouraged families to experience working farms, where activities can include farm trains, hayrides, animals, pumpkins and produce. It said agritourism offers experiences for a range of families and urged people to explore Mississippi agriculture firsthand during the month.
