The 2026 Mississippi Museums Association Conference is scheduled for September 17–18 at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson.
The two-day conference will feature sessions, conversations and opportunities to connect with museum professionals from across Mississippi. Organizers also said more of this year’s presenters will be introduced, bringing their expertise, experiences and fresh perspectives to the event.

Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
