Gautier Police Department remembers lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001

The Gautier Police Department joined the nation in remembering the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, honoring the victims and those whose lives were changed by the attacks.

The department also honored the first responders who ran toward danger, including firefighters, law enforcement officers and emergency personnel. Its remembrance recognized military members and everyday citizens for their courage, sacrifice and unity during the tragedy.

The department said the nation should remember those who died, the heroes who answered the call and the strength shown in the days that followed. It described Sept. 11, 2001, as “Never Forgotten.”
