Scott County deputy discusses scam prevention with Lake church seniors

Chief Deputy Brad Ellis of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office spoke with senior adults at First Baptist Church of Lake about scam awareness, fraud prevention and other crime-prevention measures.

The discussion included ways senior adults can recognize suspicious activity and better protect themselves from people who may try to take advantage of them, according to the sheriff’s office.

The office thanked the Senior Adults of First Baptist Church of Lake for the invitation and expressed appreciation to the church and Bro. Jess for their welcome and hospitality. Sheriff Mike Lee said, “Working together and staying informed helps keep Scott County safe!”
