Oxford Police Chief Jeff McCutchen described the weekend as a success for the community, saying large crowds were well behaved and praising the public safety response.
McCutchen credited the Oxford Police Department, Oxford Fire Department, Lafayette County Sheriff's Office, paramedics, dispatchers, medical personnel and other first responders who worked long hours to keep people safe and provide assistance.

He also recognized the City of Oxford Environmental Services team for working around the clock to keep streets, the downtown area and the community clean. McCutchen said the weekend's success reflected a community effort involving first responders, city employees, businesses, residents and visitors.
