The Oxford Police Department and Oxford Middle School PTO are hosting a free Online Safety Class for Parents tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Oxford Police Department.
The class will address online risks facing children and offer simple steps parents can take to help keep their children safe online. The Oxford Middle School PTO partnered with the police department for the event.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
