Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office introduces Deputy Catherine Stewart

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office introduced Deputy Catherine Stewart in a “Meet Us Monday” feature highlighting the people who work for the agency.

Stewart is from Columbus, Mississippi, and has called Oxford home since graduating from the University of Mississippi, according to the feature.

She said she most enjoys interacting with the community and helping people during moments of crisis.

The sheriff’s office said the weekly feature is intended to help community members get to know the people behind the badge. Stewart said the office’s core mindset is rooted in community policing and building stronger bonds with future generations.
