Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office deputies regularly take part in training after completing the law enforcement academy, the agency said in a community post. The training is intended to sharpen their skills, prepare them for emergencies and help them continue learning about challenges they may encounter in the field.
The training includes driving and firearms instruction, along with specialized sessions for the agency’s different units. The sheriff’s office said preparedness is part of the job so deputies are ready when the community needs them.
