Film screening, director comments set for Faulkner Literary Fest program

A 33-minute screening of the film Moving Spirits Encountering the Ancestors, with comments from writer and director Rhondalyn Peairs, is scheduled for noon Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, as part of the annual Faulkner Literary Fest.

Filmed at Rowan Oak, the film explores the enslaved people who worked on the land that became Rowan Oak.

A light lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m., provided by the Museum Guild.
