The Annual Faulkner Literary Luncheon is scheduled for Sept. 25, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at First Methodist Church, 207 E. Bankhead, in New Albany. The event will feature speakers John T. Edge and Jim Gulley, and the 2026 Faulkner Literary Awards will be announced.
Attendees should use the church’s back entrance. Admission is $20, and registration and payment are available at https://forms.gle/ZimVZFuRsbHXq5JV7. The registration deadline is Sept. 23.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
