Pontotoc Swim earns second overall at Be The Light Invitational
Pontotoc Swim placed second in the overall team standings at the Be The Light Invitational and won the Class 2 boys team competition for 5A-6A schools. The Pontotoc boys also finished second overall.
Thomas Jefcoat won the 100-yard backstroke. Elijah Farris placed third in the 50 freestyle, while Carson Poynor was fourth in the 100 butterfly and Liam Rackley was fourth in the 500 freestyle.
Callie Anne Patrick finished sixth in the 100 butterfly, and Reagan Rackley placed sixth in the 500 freestyle. Ruth Ann Burton was second in the 100 breaststroke and fifth in the 200 individual medley.
Pontotoc's boys 200 medley relay finished third, while the boys 200 freestyle relay won. The girls 400 freestyle relay placed fourth.
Pontotoc Swim thanked The Rack Boutique for its support. The Pontotoc Warriors are scheduled to compete again Tuesday at Tupelo Aquatic Center.
