Constitution Day observance set for Magnolia Civic Center in New Albany

A Constitution Day observance commemorating the signing of the United States Constitution is scheduled for noon Thursday, Sept. 17, in the Magnolia Room at the Magnolia Civic Center & Theatre in New Albany.

The program will include a presentation of colors by the NAHS AF Junior ROTC, a performance by the NAHS Choir and remarks from Mayor Jeff Olson. It also will recognize a Gold Star Mom and feature Bells Across America and the ringing of a bell by American Legion Post 72.

The Union County Republican Women’s Club is hosting the event. The organizers credited the Potter-Henry-Lowrey Post 72 New Albany, MS, DAR and UCDA for helping make the observance possible.
