A new autumn selection of plants has been placed at the Historic Greenville Marker in downtown Greenville, according to the Washington County Economic Alliance.
The organization thanked Fountain's Green Grow-Cery and Robert Dogan for their work on the planting, describing the effort as helping keep the Delta’s Queen City beautiful.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
