Wreaths Across America is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 19, at Historic Blocker Cemetery, where 236 wreaths remain available for sponsorship to recognize veterans buried there during the holiday season.
A wreath can be sponsored through wreathsacrossamerica.org/msbloc. The event information was shared by Ken Adams, Olive Branch mayor, with a notice encouraging community members to learn how they can participate.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
