A&W Custom Furniture is investing $2.2 million to expand its operations in Okolona, adding a fourth production line and creating 20 new jobs.
The company, which launched in 2023, currently employs 72 people. The expansion is expected to increase its production capacity and bring more Mississippi-made furniture to the marketplace.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
