Rain coverage expected to increase across parts of Mississippi

Scattered showers and a few storms are ongoing in some areas, with coverage expected to increase through the day and rain chances ranging from medium to high, according to the US National Weather Service Jackson Mississippi.

Rain totals are expected to average below a half inch in most areas. Isolated spots could receive 1-2 inches in a thunderstorm, while some locations could miss out on rain altogether.
