Nearly six-week heat wave nearing its end, weather service says
A nearly six-week heat wave is nearing its end, but two more days of unusually high temperatures are expected first, according to the U.S. National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee.
Temperatures during those two days are expected to be 5 to 8 degrees above normal for the middle of summer. The weather service urged people with outdoor activities planned today to stay safe.
