NHTSA says 46% of child car seats are installed incorrectly

About 46% of child car seats are installed incorrectly, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Mississippi Department of Transportation said.

The department encouraged parents and caregivers to double-check with experts that children are using the right seat for their age and size and that the seat is properly secured. Information is available at NHTSA.gov/TheRightSeat.
