Southern Miss women’s cross country heads to Chile Pepper Festival

The Southern Miss women’s cross country team will compete in its third meet of the fall season Saturday at the 38th annual Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The women’s 5-kilometer race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at Agri Park. Southern Miss placed second in each of its first two meets, the Battle for New Orleans and Florida State Pre-Regionals. Junior Aiden Harrand posted the team’s top finish in both races, placing third and eighth, respectively.

Harrand will be joined by Lexi Cooper, Corinne Croy, Haley Datema, Indy Grajalez, Cadence Lapp, Presley Miller, Addison Rainey, Olivia Smith, Sophie West and Sylvia White.

Southern Miss is scheduled to return to competition Oct. 30 at the Alabama Crimson Classic at the Harry Pritchett Running Course in Tuscaloosa.
