Mississippi College teams set for busy week of fall competition

Mississippi College’s fall sports teams are scheduled to compete across several events and locations, including golf, tennis, volleyball, cross country and soccer.

The men’s golf team opens the week at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional Preview in Saint Leo, Florida, competing Monday and Tuesday. Men’s and women’s tennis begin the Gulf South Conference Individuals on Friday in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Volleyball returns Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Union in Jackson, Tennessee. The team then travels to Huntsville, Alabama, for a 6 p.m. match against Alabama Huntsville on Friday.

Saturday’s schedule includes two cross country meets. The women’s and men’s teams compete at the Belhaven Cross Country Invitational in Clinton, with both races starting at 8 a.m. Other runners compete at the Louisville Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Kentucky, beginning at 9 a.m.

Women’s soccer hosts Auburn Montgomery at 1 p.m. at Robert P. Longabaugh Field Saturday. Volleyball travels to Montevallo for a 2 p.m. match, and the men’s soccer team finishes the day at home against AUM at 3:30 p.m.
