Kianah Farmer and Taylor Osborn earned SWAC weekly honors after Jackson State opened conference play with a 3-0 victory over Southern at the JSU Soccer Field.
Osborn, a sophomore goalkeeper, recorded six saves and registered her first shutout victory of the season against Southern.

Farmer received her second SWAC weekly honor, this time as a defender. She played all 90 minutes, anchored the Tigers’ defense and contributed offensively by scoring at the 38-minute mark to open the match.
Jackson State added two more goals after Farmer’s opener to complete the 3-0 win.
The Tigers will travel to Grambling, Louisiana, to face Grambling State on Thursday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
