25 former Ole Miss players begin 2026 NFL season on active rosters

Twenty-five former Ole Miss players begin the 2026 NFL season on active rosters, including six rookies, according to an update from Ole Miss Athletics. Trey Amos is listed on injured reserve with the Washington Commanders, while seven other former Rebels are listed on practice squads.

A.J. Brown begins a new chapter with the New England Patriots after an offseason trade from the Philadelphia Eagles. During four seasons in Philadelphia, Brown recorded 5,034 receiving yards, 32 touchdowns, two Pro Bowl selections and a Super Bowl championship.

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart returns for his sophomore season after finishing fourth in 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year voting. As a rookie, he had 487 rushing yards, fourth among league quarterbacks, and nine rushing touchdowns, tied for second among all quarterbacks.

The rookie class includes Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Diego Pounds, who anchored Ole Miss' line during the Rebels' 2025 College Football Playoff run. San Francisco 49ers receiver De'Zhaun Stribling was selected 33rd overall in the 2026 NFL draft, the first pick of the second round.

Indianapolis Colts safety Kapena Gushiken enters his rookie season after recording 55 tackles and one interception in his senior season at Ole Miss. Arizona Cardinals safety Wydett Williams Jr. also begins his rookie season after totaling 73 tackles, three interceptions and 10 passes defended as a senior.

Jonathan Mingo returns for his second full season with the Dallas Cowboys and fourth season overall. He has 610 receiving yards on 61 receptions in his career. Washington offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil enters his 10th NFL season and second with the Commanders as a five-time Pro Bowler.
