Winter storm watch affects parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi
A winter storm watch posted on Facebook warns of heavy mixed precipitation and significant ice and sleet accumulations from Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon in portions of southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana and multiple regions of Mississippi.
The post said onset of sleet and freezing rain will spread from northwest to southeast Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning, with a mix of wintry precipitation continuing into Sunday. Dangerously cold temperatures are also expected Friday night into early next week.
