The Guardian podcast launches season 3 with Digital Guardians collaboration
Season 3 of “The Guardian: A Law Enforcement Podcast” launches Tuesday with a new collaboration between Chief Mark Ballard and Digital Guardians, led by Dr. Bekah Sparks of the Mississippi State University Extension Service, the podcast announced in a Facebook post.
Dr. Bekah Sparks is an Extension Project Specialist with the Trauma-Informed Parenting and Professional Strategies team, the post said. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication, a master’s in instructional technology and a Ph.D. in human development and family science from Mississippi State University.
Sparks brings 16 years of technology education and support experience at Mississippi State University Extension and helps develop and support statewide family and child development programs that turn developmental research into practical, evidence-based resources, the post said. Her work focuses on translating research into actionable strategies parents and guardians can use at home, after practice or during conversations about social media, privacy and identity.
The collaboration pairs law enforcement perspective with expertise in digital wellbeing and family development. The podcast did not provide further details in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
