The Mississippi Department of Public Safety is urging prospective recruits to apply before the Aug. 29 deadline, the agency said in a social media reel posted on Facebook.
Recruiters told viewers that those interested in careers with the department should visit dps.ms.gov to submit applications or contact a recruiter to learn more. The post emphasized that the application window will close on Aug. 29.
The department oversees a range of public safety functions in the state, including highway patrol, driver services and other law enforcement and safety programs. Employment with the agency can include sworn law enforcement roles as well as civilian and support positions that contribute to public safety operations.
The hiring drive highlights ongoing efforts by state agencies to fill positions that support road safety, law enforcement and community services. Interested applicants should review job requirements and application instructions at dps.ms.gov and reach out to department recruiters with questions.
