Mississippi DPS staff receive leadership training, honor employee
Chief Kelly Elliott, director of the Mississippi State Fire Academy, addressed staff at the Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s recent “All Personnel” meeting as part of the agency’s CIC professional development program, the department said in a Facebook post.
“Chief Elliott is an outstanding leader, and his words today were meaningful and impactful. We appreciate him taking the time to invest in our staff members,” said Director McElhenney, the post said.
The department also recognized Pamela McAfee for outstanding service and dedication, congratulating her and thanking her for her commitment to serving Mississippi. The acknowledgement highlights the agency’s focus on employee development and retention.
The Mississippi State Fire Academy provides training and certification programs for fire service personnel and emergency responders across the state, and professional development programs are intended to strengthen leadership and operational readiness within public safety agencies.
