Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers said in a Facebook post that its director, Lori Massey, recently co-hosted a national Crime Stoppers USA training alongside retired Kansas City police detective Kevin Boehm.
The organization said Boehm currently serves as coordinator of the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers program under the Kansas City Crime Commission. The training focused on strengthening partnerships between Crime Stoppers programs and law enforcement, building trust with investigators and protecting the anonymity of tipsters, the post said.
Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers said it was honored to help lead the discussion and to share partnerships that have contributed to its program’s success. The group added that working closely with law enforcement remains central to Crime Stoppers’ mission and that it aims to help other programs across the country grow stronger.
Crime Stoppers USA is a national network of local programs that encourages anonymous public tips to assist police investigations and help solve crimes.
