Gautier closes municipal offices Friday as Hurricane Isaias approaches

The City of Gautier is closing City Hall and designated municipal offices Friday because of the anticipated impacts of Hurricane Isaias and to protect employees and residents.

The closure includes Gautier City Hall, Police Records and Administrative Offices, Municipal Courts and the Utilities Department. Emergency police and fire services will remain operational.

City officials are monitoring the hurricane and coordinating with the Jackson County Office of Emergency Services to prepare for potential impacts. Residents are encouraged to remain weather-aware, take precautions and follow the city’s official communication channels for updates.

Normal business operations are expected to resume Monday, weather and conditions permitting.
