The former Mississippi Department of Public Safety Administration Tower is scheduled for demolition Sunday morning, with a brief closure planned on I-55 in Jackson.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said the interstate closure could last up to 30 minutes, from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m., for the demolition.

MDOT is urging people to avoid watching the demolition in person and instead view it through an MDOT traffic camera. Viewing is scheduled to begin at 7:45 a.m.
