Tropical Storm Arthur assistance deadline is Saturday

Residents affected by Tropical Storm Arthur have until Saturday, Oct. 3, to apply for assistance, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.

Disaster Service Centers are closing in phases. The Harrison County center closes Friday, Oct. 2, while centers in Pearl River and Stone counties close Saturday, Oct. 3.

Residents do not have to visit a center to apply. Applications can be submitted at DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or through the FEMA App.
