Applications open for 2026 Mississippi waterfowl WMA draw hunts

Applications are open for the 2026 Wildlife Management Area draw hunts for waterfowl in Mississippi, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. Applications will remain open until Oct. 15, 2026.

Applicants must log in to the MDWFP License System through the department’s website or mobile app. Anyone without an account must create one. A WMA permit is required to apply, and applicants can add one to their cart if they do not already have one. Applying is free.

After logging in, applicants should open the Draw Opportunities tab in the license catalog, choose a desired draw hunt and select “Add to Cart”. They then select hunt choices for their preferred dates and WMAs, ranking them in order of preference, with Selection No. 1 as the top priority.

Applicants must review their selections in the shopping cart and choose “Complete Transaction” to finalize the free application. A successful submission generates an email confirmation and an inbox notification.

More information and the application are available at mdwfp.com/wildlife-hunting/wma-draw-hunts.
