Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann is moving into the final month of his re-election campaign with more than $3.4 million cash-on-hand, according to a campaign finance report filed Monday, July 10. In the current period, Hosemann raised more than $547,000.
“Meeting with constituents all over the State is always a rewarding experience,” Hosemann said in a news release. “We get to see the conservative policy we have put in place over the past four years playing out in our communities and develop ideas and solutions for the new term. We are in a strong position to continue to share our platform which focuses on making Mississippi an even better place for our children and grandchildren.”
Donations for this campaign finance period, which was from June 1 to June 30, totaled $547,626.70. Hosemann has raised more than $1.7 million in 2023 alone.
Primary Election Day in Mississippi is Aug. 8. The General Election is Nov. 7. Hosemann is facing State Sen. Chris McDaniel and Tiffany Longino in the Republican primary. The Democrat running for the office is D. Ryan Grover.
