Greenville plans voter registration event for Sept. 15

The City of Greenville is encouraging eligible residents to register to vote or update their information during a National Voter Registration Day event scheduled for Sept. 15, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The city is organizing the effort with the Greenville Fire Department, City of Greenville Parks & Recreation and the Greenville, Mississippi, chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

Registration locations will include the Buster Brown Community Center at 400 E. Robertshaw St., Greenville City Hall at 340 Main St. and local fire stations 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

The first three people at each location will receive a free gas card while supplies last.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons said voting gives residents a way to make their voices heard and help shape the future of the community. He encouraged eligible Greenville residents to be registered, informed and prepared to participate.
