Greenville announces first placemaking sign for Great River Road

Greenville’s Great River Road has received its first placemaking sign, sponsored by Steve Azar and the Saint Cecilia Foundation, according to the Washington County Economic Alliance.

The initiative is intended to highlight Greenville and the Mississippi Delta along the Mississippi River while providing educational opportunities that promote the region and build civic pride.

The post listed the Mississippi Development Authority, the city of Greenville, the Greenville-Washington County Mississippi Convention & Visitors Bureau, Entergy Mississippi, the Mississippi Arts Commission and the Rural LISC Foundation for the Mid South as sponsors or partners. Visit Mississippi was also named.
