Greenville plans voter registration event at city, community and fire locations
The City of Greenville will encourage eligible residents to register to vote or update their registration information during a National Voter Registration Day event scheduled for Sept. 15, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The effort is being organized in partnership with the Greenville Fire Department, City of Greenville Parks & Recreation and the Greenville, Mississippi, chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
Registration services will be available at the Buster Brown Community Center, 400 E. Robertshaw St.; Greenville City Hall, 340 Main St.; and local fire stations 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
The first three people at each location will receive a free gas card while supplies last.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons urged eligible residents to register, stay informed and prepare to participate. “Voting is one of the most powerful ways we can make our voices heard & help shape the future of our community. I encourage every eligible Greenville resident to make sure they are registered, informed & prepared to participate. When our citizens are engaged, Greenville is stronger.”
