Yazoo County sheriff’s office seeks man wanted on assault, resisting charges
The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office said it is actively seeking Christopher Thomas, who is wanted on two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct for failure to comply and resisting arrest, the office said in a Facebook post.
The sheriff’s office described Thomas as about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 240 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office at 662-746-0014, and the office warned residents not to attempt to apprehend him.
The sheriff’s office said it will work with law enforcement agencies across the United States to locate and take Thomas into custody if he is found outside its jurisdiction. The post emphasized that assaults on law enforcement officers are taken very seriously and that the office is committed to holding those responsible accountable while protecting Yazoo County residents.
