Sunshine, warm temps continue across Mississippi
Sunny, warm and dry conditions will continue across Mississippi through the rest of the week, with very little chance for rain, forecasters say.
Today will be sunny with a high around 83 degrees and light northeast winds of 5 to 10 miles per hour. Humidity should remain fairly comfortable, and the forecasted chance of rain is about 2 percent.
Tonight will be partly cloudy and pleasant, with lows near 59 degrees. Forecasters say highs will generally stay in the low to mid-80s over the next few days, with some areas approaching 90 degrees by late week. Overnight lows are expected to trend warmer heading into the weekend and next week.
The dry pattern is forecast to hold through the weekend, with the next meaningful rain chances likely not arriving until early next week. Mississippi typically experiences a humid subtropical climate, so this stretch offers a relatively dry window for outdoor plans. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
