Stewpot Food Pantry seeks donations as supplies run low

JACKSON — Stewpot Food Pantry is asking for donations after reporting low supplies of several staple items, the pantry said.

The pantry said it particularly needs baked beans, pork and beans, canned chicken, canned kidney beans, canned mixed vegetables, ramen noodles, canned fruit, sugar and cereal.

Donations can be dropped off at Stewpot Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the pantry said. Weekend drop-offs are accepted during Dining Hall hours, from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The pantry also said people who cannot deliver items in person can send supplies through an Amazon wish list.

Stewpot operates a dining hall and food pantry that provides meals and groceries to residents in Jackson and relies on community donations to maintain services. Donations allow the pantry to continue providing food to people in need, the organization said. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
