STARKVILLE, Mississippi — The Starkville Police Department said on its Facebook page that it thanks all the students who took part in Community Service Day, acknowledging their contribution to the local community.
The Starkville Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency that serves the city of Starkville and its residents. Police agencies commonly organize or partner with schools and community groups on service days to give young people opportunities to volunteer and engage with civic life.
Community Service Day events typically aim to build ties between law enforcement and residents, encourage youth civic responsibility and support neighborhood improvement efforts.
