Starkville Police Department announced a temporary road closure next Friday, Aug. 21, as motorcycles travel through the city for the 2026 Little Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Dinner Ride. Motorists should expect brief delays during the arrival window, the department said in a Facebook post.
The department posted that riders will leave Sturgis at 4:00 p.m. and are expected to arrive in Starkville around 4:20 to 4:30 p.m. The post did not list specific streets or the length of the closure.
Starkville is a city in northeastern Mississippi and the home of Mississippi State University. Local police departments commonly coordinate temporary traffic measures for organized rides and community events to help manage safety and traffic flow.
Motorists traveling in the area on Aug. 21 should allow extra travel time and be prepared for brief stops or detours. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
