Vicksburg police launch Ride & Respond featuring Patrolman Carlton Phillips

The Vicksburg Police Department posted on Facebook launching the first installment of a new Ride & Respond series that follows Patrolman Carlton Phillips on patrol and takes viewers “behind the badge,” the department said.

The video offers a firsthand look at life on duty, showing officers answering calls for service and engaging with residents across Vicksburg. The department said the series will highlight the responsibilities, challenges and commitment involved in serving and protecting the community.

The department said officers “are more than just first responders—they are problem solvers, community partners, and public servants dedicated to making a difference.” The post invited viewers to stay tuned for additional installments in the ride-along series.

Ride-along series are commonly used by law enforcement agencies as a tool for transparency and community engagement, giving residents a closer view of daily policing activities and decision-making. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
