Southaven police join Touch a Truck at Northpoint Christian School

Southaven Police Department said on its Facebook page that children at Northpoint Christian School’s annual Touch a Truck event enjoyed a sunny day with a strong turnout, getting hands-on time with a variety of vehicles and receiving stickers and a stuffed animal from officers.

The department thanked school organizers for the invitation in the social post. The event involved children from the school’s summer camp, who were able to explore vehicles up close and learn about the equipment used by first responders.

Touch a Truck events are community outreach programs that allow children and families to interact with service and emergency vehicles, helping to build familiarity and trust between residents and local agencies. Southaven Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency that serves the city of Southaven and often takes part in community and school activities.

Organizers did not provide additional details in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
