Sean Tindell honors Public Safety Summit award winners
Sean Tindell on Facebook congratulated award winners from this year’s Public Safety Summit, noting the event drew more than 900 attendees from across Mississippi.
He named Capt. William Kendrick of the Jackson Police Department Law Enforcement Officer of the Year; Officers Wyatt Webb and Brian Drieling of the Department of Marine Resources First Responders of the Year; Angel McIlrath of the 19th Circuit Court District Prosecutor of the Year; and Capt. John Clark of the Belzoni Fire Department Firefighter of the Year, the post said.
Tindell praised the recipients for their dedication, sacrifice and service and thanked his team and the Attorney General’s team for organizing the summit, the post said. He said the gathering began four years ago with a goal of bringing public safety professionals together to learn, collaborate and strengthen partnerships.
The summit is intended to provide training, networking and coordination among law enforcement, prosecutors, firefighters and other first responders. Recognition of individual achievements underscores efforts to support public safety across the state. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
