Reunite Mississippi hosts candlelight vigil in Biloxi for missing persons

BILOXI — Reunite Mississippi will host a candlelight vigil on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to honor missing persons and support families still searching for answers.

The event is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Biloxi Visitors Center and is intended to bring together families, community members and advocates for an evening of remembrance, unity and awareness, organizers said.

Organizers said the vigil will provide a space to reflect on the lives of those who remain missing while offering support to loved ones navigating the uncertainty of unresolved cases. Reunite Mississippi is a nonprofit that works to advance investigations into missing and unidentified persons across the state through collaboration, innovation and support.

The group works closely with families, law enforcement and forensic professionals to improve case outcomes, advocates for families of the missing, promotes information-sharing among agencies and supports legislation and training to improve how cases are handled, organizers said. This is a developing story and will be updated as more details emerge.
