Police seek help identifying suspects in Jackson gas station robbery
Police are asking the public to help identify two people allegedly involved in an armed robbery at a gas station in the 700 block of West McDowell Road, a social media post said.
The post, which urges readers “Help us keep Jackson safe,” asked whether anyone recognizes the individuals and asked followers to share the information. It included contact information for Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477) and the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1800 for anyone with tips.
Crime Stoppers programs typically allow people to submit anonymous tips and work with local law enforcement to investigate crimes. Local police departments, including Jackson’s, often rely on community information to identify suspects and locate witnesses in robbery investigations.
Armed robberies at gas stations raise public safety concerns because they can put customers and employees at risk and disrupt neighborhoods. Officials often ask anyone with relevant video, photos or observations to come forward to help resolve cases quickly.
Details about the incident, including the identities of the individuals shown in the post and whether any arrests have been made, were not available. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
