Oxford Police Department welcomes new patrol officer

Oxford Police Department said in a Facebook post that Patrol Officer Eli Hiser is joining the department. The post welcomed Hiser to the team and said the department looks forward to the dedication and service he will provide to the community.

The Oxford Police Department is the municipal law enforcement agency responsible for public safety, crime prevention and traffic enforcement in its jurisdiction. Patrol officers typically serve as first responders who handle emergency calls, conduct routine patrols and engage with residents to address local concerns.

Departments often announce new hires to introduce officers to the community and to underscore their commitment to public safety and community policing. Recruiting and onboarding new officers help maintain staffing levels needed to respond to calls, conduct investigations and carry out neighborhood outreach.

The department’s Facebook post invited the public to join in welcoming Hiser to OPD. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
