Organizers hold fundraiser lunch to aid Investigator Medina

Organizers are hosting a fundraiser lunch on April 24 to raise money for Investigator Medina’s medical expenses and recovery, they said in a Facebook post.

Plates cost $10 and all proceeds will go toward Investigator Medina’s medical expenses and recovery, the post said. Organizers are encouraging pre-orders and provided a contact number: 228-702-3814.

Plate lunches and similar community meals are a common grassroots fundraising method, allowing neighbors to contribute through modest purchases. These events often provide immediate financial help for medical treatment and recovery-related costs and serve as a visible sign of community support for an individual and their family.

Organizers asked people to share the post to help spread the word. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
